Marlaina Granter, Registered Nurse (RN),
Certified in Advanced & Diabetic Nursing Foot Care
My name is Marlaina Granter, and I am an Advanced Footcare Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Dalhousie University. My pronouns are She/Her.
I grew up in and continue to reside in Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia, where I have established both my home and a wellness practice surrounded by nature. I am particularly drawn to RWHC’s holistic approach to care and its commitment to empowering clients to live healthier, fuller lives.
I believe that footcare is integral to overall well-being, and I am eager to contribute to a team that prioritizes compassion, prevention, and dignity in healthcare. My clinical expertise is complemented by specialized training in holistic health, environmental wellness, and advanced footcare, all of which align seamlessly with RWHC’s mission to provide preventative, respectful, and compassionate care.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy spending time in nature, whether walking in the forest or tending to our land, and exploring various healing modalities.
I also cherish moments with my four children, delving into wellness practices, and fostering community through my dedication to regenerative health and sustainable living.
I truly believe that every step matters, whether it’s in health, healing, or daily life. Supporting people through footcare allows me to help improve comfort, mobility, and confidence in meaningful ways, and I feel grateful to be able to offer this service at RWHC.
Brittany Trollope, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN),
Certified in Advanced & Diabetic Nursing Foot Care
Brittany is an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse at our Bedford Foot Care Clinic, bringing over 17 years in healthcare to her role. She began her career as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), spending a decade in long-term care before earning her Practical Nursing diploma. Since then, she has built her expertise in mental health, addictions, and specialized foot care. She has also worked as a nursing instructor, teaching and mentoring new healthcare professionals. Brittany is certified in Advanced & Diabetic Foot Care Nursing and provides care both in our Bedford foot clinic and in clients’ homes as a mobile foot care nurse.
“Hi, I’m Brittany. I chose foot care because I saw how often it was overlooked — especially for seniors and people living with diabetes. My goal is to help prevent problems before they start, keeping clients comfortable, mobile, and independent. There’s nothing more rewarding than making a real difference through hands-on care.
I’m a mom to three kids (ages 2–11) and have a beautiful 8-year-old German shepherd. I grew up in Eastern Passage, NS and still live there today. When I’m not in the clinic or visiting clients in their homes, you’ll find me at the cheerleading gym, the baseball field, the beach, or the splash pad with friends — or camping with my family. I also volunteer for a dog rescue, a cause close to my heart.”
